Where AI fits after an audit
The audit is done by hand on purpose — it's a set of judgement calls, not something a tool can decide for you. What tends to show up in the findings is one repeated task costing somebody an hour a day, and that's often a good candidate for automation. If the audit doesn't flag it, adding AI probably won't help you.
It's genuinely free, and there's no catch
Plenty of agencies give away an 'audit' that turns out to be a sales pitch for work they were always going to charge for. This one is a real review of what you have now, and you get it whether or not you ever work with us. If your site is fine, we'll tell you it's fine.
What we actually look at
How fast it loads, especially on a phone. Whether it can be found on Google for what you do and where you do it. Whether it works properly on a phone. Whether the security basics are in place. Whether it's clear what to do next. And whether it asks visitors for anything at all — which is the one that most often turns out to be the problem.
Plain English, in priority order
You'll get the findings ordered by what would make the biggest difference to your enquiries, rather than as a technical list. Most people only need the top three things fixing; the rest can wait, and we'll say so rather than inventing work.
Honest about whether you need anything doing
Plenty of sites we look at need one change rather than a rebuild. Some need nothing beyond a few fixes. A few genuinely do need replacing, and we'll say that too. You'll get a straight answer whichever it turns out to be, because the alternative is that nobody trusts the free one.

The audit is yours whether you work with us or not. Keep it, take it to another designer, act on the top three items yourself, or hand us the lot — we're not going to write it so that only we're able to act on it.

- Yes, with no obligation attached. We do it because it helps us both work out quickly whether there's work worth doing, and we'd rather earn the work than sell it.

- Will it be bad news?
- Sometimes, and you'll hear it plainly. But a site that isn't working is usually fixable with a handful of changes, and you'll know exactly which ones.
- What if I want to fix things myself?
- That's exactly what the prioritised list is for. We describe each fix in plain terms so you can hand it to another designer, or take a different view on it. Either is fine, and the audit stands on its own.
- How long does it take?
