Web & Software Applications
Bespoke internal tools, portals and web apps built around your actual process rather than a generic package.

Off-the-shelf software rarely fits a growing business properly. We build custom web applications that do exactly what you need — booking systems, customer portals, internal tools — without charging you for features you'll never touch.
- First, we check

Where AI fits in custom software
As an addition to a system rather than a replacement for one: summarising a long record so someone doesn't have to read the whole history, drafting a reply to a request, or pulling the relevant rows out of a lot of data so a person can decide what to do. We'd be wary of AI making decisions on its own inside a system that affects customers or money.
Build, buy, or do nothing
Before writing any code, we check whether the problem already has a good answer. Off-the-shelf software is often the right call and costs a fraction of a custom build. We only go bespoke when the thing genuinely doesn't exist, or when paying for it forever costs more than owning it would.
Built around how your people work
Software that matches the official process is worse than the spreadsheet it replaced, because now there's a login to do. We design around the way your team already works, and if that means changing the software rather than the people, that's usually the right trade.
Connections, not more logins
The point of a new system is usually to stop retyping between systems. We connect it to what you already use — invoicing, calendars, email, your website — so information goes in once. A tool that creates a fourth place to check isn't saving anyone time.
Something you can keep
We build it so you own it, with documentation and a sensible setup, rather than something that only runs through us. If we ever disappear, the software keeps working and another developer can take it on.
Built to be extended, not replaced
Every custom system starts small and then needs to do more. We structure it so the next feature is an addition rather than a rebuild, and we'll tell you when a growing requirement means the original approach no longer fits.
What’s included
- Functionality built for you, not a bloated bundle
- Secure logins and sensible user roles
- Connections to the systems you already run
- Dashboards and reporting where they help
- Structured so it can grow with you
Why it matters
- Software that matches how you actually work
- Time back from repetitive data entry
- Information available the moment you need it
Often useful alongside this
- AI for business often the quickest way to add intelligence to an existing system without rebuilding it.
- An app for your staff when the system needs to work in the field, on a phone.
- A content management system for the content side of the system, so we can change it without a rebuild.
Common questions
- How much does a custom application cost?
- It depends entirely on scope, and a range quoted before understanding the problem would just be a guess. Tell us what you're trying to stop doing by hand and we'll put a written estimate against that specific job.
- How long does it take?
- A focused internal tool is often a few weeks. Anything touching customers, payments or several systems takes longer. We agree milestones up front so you're never surprised by where a project has got to.
- Couldn't existing software do this instead?
- Frequently yes, and we'll say so when it can — including recommending the cheaper option. We'd rather point you at a twenty-pound-a-month tool that does the job than sell you a build you don't need.
- What happens when it needs changing?
- Small changes are straightforward. Bigger ones get discussed and quoted before we start. We design it so changes are additions rather than surgery on the original.
- Can it work on phones and tablets?
- Yes. If your team is out and about, it works properly on a phone rather than being a desktop system squeezed onto a small screen.
