Where AI fits alongside hosting — mostly it doesn't
Honestly, less than the marketing suggests. Uptime monitoring and alerts are already automated, and AI adds little to keeping a server running. The one place it earns its place is making sense of what an error log or an attack is telling you — turning a wall of log lines into 'someone tried this at 2am and here is what they wanted'. If that's not your problem, skip it.

The difference between decent hosting and the cheapest available is a few pounds a month. The difference when something fails is your whole business being offline while you work out who to ring. Backups that we've actually restored from
Most hosts claim to back up. Very few can produce a working restore when you need one. We keep multiple automated copies held away from the server itself, so a malware infection or an accidental deletion doesn't take the backups with it. And we've tested restoring from them, because a backup you've never restored from is only a hope.

A good host, sensible caching and correctly sized images are most of why a site feels fast to use. People on phones notice immediately, and both Google and customers take it personally. Slow hosting is hard to design your way out of later, so it's worth getting right from the start.

Common questions
- Do I have to move my hosting to you?
- No. If your current host is doing a fine job we'll tell you to stay and we can still look after the site. We'd only suggest moving if the hosting is genuinely costing you speed or reliability.
- What happens if the site goes down?
- Our monitoring tells us and we deal with it. That's the whole point of managed hosting — you don't find out from a customer, you find out because we've already logged in and fixed it.
- Is my domain included?
- Domains are separate from hosting, and they're best registered in your own name. That way the domain is genuinely yours and you can move it anywhere in the future if you need to.
- Will moving my site break my email?
- Not if it's done properly. We set up the DNS records and test everything before pointing anything at the new host, then check your email afterwards as part of the move rather than assuming it worked.
